Overview of Job

To support the development and delivery of new business opportunities and achieve significant income targets through developing the market and positioning of CIS as the provider of choice in order to increase market share and promote the CIS brand. Deliver against annual targets for win rate and income and margin value, market share, and customer relationship development.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • External relationships and identifying opportunities
  • Establish and build relationships with commissioners, local authorities and other public service commissioners.
  • Identify and build potential partnerships with other providers to support business development.
  • Proactively prospect with commissioners, partners and other stakeholders to win and grow business for CIS.
  • Develop a pipeline of new B2B and B2C business opportunities and provide quarterly updates.
  • Identify future business development and diversification opportunities within the framework of the CIS Strategic Plan.
  • Identify and seek opportunities to promote the CIS Brand and to advance our Vision and Mission.
  • Responding to opportunities
  • Evaluate and prioritise all business development opportunities within the framework of the CIS Strategic Plan.
  • Lead and manage bid production to deliver winning submissions that promote the CIS brand and differentiate us from our competitors.
  • For successful bids, ensure the smooth and effective handover of information with colleagues across all departments as required.
  • Line Management
  • To line manage and provide supervision to business development team in accordance with CIS performance management framework.
  • Support and guide the team members to stimulate and respond to B2C enquiries and referrals, giving priority to opportunities in accordance with the Region's business plan.
  • Support the on-going professional and personal development of the other team members of the team.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in the relevant field.
  • Closing Ss, Motivation for Sales, Prospecting Ss, Sales Planning, Selling to Customer Needs, Territory Management, Market Knowledge, Presentation Ss, Energy Level, Meeting Sales Goals, Professionalism.
  • Hands-on experience in a large-sized organization, managing diverse business Development and marketing initiatives.
