To apply for a job for the HR trainee position, you should have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or any related field. As this is a trainee-level position, the candidates are not required to have any work experience, although for a confident start in his/her career, the candidate should have good communication skills, basic understanding of human resource management fundamental practices, and good computer skills particularly in the use of Microsoft Office Suite are required.
As an HR trainee, your primary roles & responsibilities would be assisting senior HR executives in filtering candidates for recruitment, keeping records of applicants, onboarding of new employees, payroll assistance and a range of other general HR activities. It will be truly invaluable since you will be exposed to all the processes of working in HR with no simulations at all.
As an HR trainee, after having some experience, you can advance from being a trainee to an HR Executive, an HR Specialist, an HR Manager, an HR Director, or an HR Vice President. The promotion will be dependent on your performance, experience and the company organization map. The roles provided by the HR department are quite flexible and promising.
A trainee in the capacity of the Human Resources department should place emphasis on the development of the communication skills, organizational skills and interpersonal skills. The applicant should have understanding of the fundamental employment laws (global and regional), efficient working of human resources management software, and problem-solving skills are also important.
Depending on the organization's size and specialization, as an HR trainee, you will learn about HR Information Systems programs, the Applicant Tracking Systems programs, Payroll Management software, and Workforce Performance Tracking tools. These will go a long way to help to organize your work and make it more efficient.
The salary for an HR trainee starts in the range of approximately 1.8 lakh rupees* to 2.4 lakh rupees* per annum based on educational qualification and location of the organization in India. We pay our workers according to the competitive industry standards within their rank while we also consider the possibility for the trainee to earn a better salary as they move up the ladder.
Once selected, the HR trainees are trained with presentations related to HR fundamentals, and also with the support of the senior HR executives and with constant workshops and conferences. You will also undergo practical training for the usage of HR softwares and practices for which you will be prepared during the job.
