We are seeking a motivated Junior Linux Admin with 6 months to 2 years of experience to join our IT team. This position is ideal for individuals with foundational experience in Linux administration who are looking to further develop their skills. The role involves managing and configuring Linux servers, troubleshooting system issues and supporting various network and software tasks to ensure smooth operations.
Duties & Responsibilities

Linux System Troubleshooting :
Diagnose and resolve issues related to Linux servers and workstations efficiently.

Operating System Installation & Troubleshooting :
Handle the installation, configuration and troubleshooting of Linux operating systems across various environments.

User Account Management :
Manage user accounts and permissions ensuring secure and efficient access to Linux systems.
Install, configure and maintain a variety of software applications on Linux servers.
Provide technical support to end-users for Linux-based systems, addressing hardware, software and network issues as needed.
Implement and configure security measures including antivirus software and firewalls to protect Linux systems.

System Updates & Patching :
Manage the installation of system updates, patches and the reinstallation of Linux applications to maintain system integrity and security.
Required Skills & Qualifications

Experience:6 months to 2 years of experience in Linux administration.
- Technical Skills:

Proficiency in Linux operating systems (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS, Red Hat).

Basic knowledge of scripting (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation tasks.

Understanding of networking concepts and services (e.g., DNS, DHCP, SSH).

Familiarity with system monitoring and performance tuning tools.

Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize tasks.
