Overview
As a Team Lead Front End Developer, you will be responsible for leading a team of front-end developers, guiding technical decisions, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and responsive web applications. You will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and backend developers to create seamless and engaging user interfaces.
Duties and responsibilities
Lead and mentor a team of front-end developers, providing technical guidance, support, and professional development opportunities. Oversee the design and implementation of front-end features and functionality, ensuring they meet project requirements and business objectives. Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate design concepts into interactive and user-friendly web applications, maintaining a focus on usability and visual aesthetics. Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, consistency, and adherence to coding standards. Provide constructive feedback and suggestions for improvement. Manage and prioritize tasks within the front-end development team, ensuring alignment with project deadlines and deliverables. Work closely with back-end developers to integrate front-end components with back-end services and APIs, ensuring seamless functionality and performance. Design and implement scalable front-end architectures that support maintainability and performance across applications. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for front-end code, development processes, and best practices to support team onboarding and knowledge sharing. Develop and enforce testing strategies for front-end code, including unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing to ensure high-quality deliverable. Explore and experiment with new front-end technologies and methodologies to keep the team at the forefront of industry trends and innovations.
Required skills and qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Proven experience as a front-end developer, with a strong portfolio of web applications. Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with expertise in modern frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js. Experience with front-end build tools and version control systems Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a team. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Experience with agile development methodologies is a plus.
Educational qualifications
BE/ME/B.Tech/M.Tech/MCA/MCM/BCA or equivalent
